Phil's Mind (not for the easily offended)
Somebody recently sent me a link to this video. No, it wasn't my mother or pastor. After watching it, I thought that this was really how Phil's mind works. Ha! You know, I'm oddly conflicted. No self-respecting woman (and I count myself one of those) would want to be naked in a room with this guy, and yet--and YET--his honesty is refreshing. Appealing, even. And then there's the accent. Dudes with rakish accents wielding hilarious truisms are nearly impossible to resist...

Your first commenter hit on something important--the accent. Without that, he might easily be mistaken for a jackass, yet like she said, that accent makes us see and even appreciate the truth in what he says.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty easygoing about language and have a sometimes, um, colorful way of speaking, but I normally hate the c-word. This guy proves that it's all in the delivery, though. No wonder American women love to vacation in Ireland and the UK.
I may not get away with saying the same things in my French-Canadian accent...haha
