Menfolk don't often 'part the carpet with their pecker' anymore.
Berber carpets and Brazilian waxes pretty much took care of that......
In days of old, if I called my buddy Phil and asked him what he was up to, and he told me he was 'partin' the carpet with his pecker', if I went over later, I'd knock first, and not take my shoes off at the door when I entered....
